The Opportunity:

A Geography Teacher is needed to cover maternity leave and support the continued delivery of high-quality Geography education at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic department and help shape the future of Geography teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.
  • Support the development of Geography across the school through collaboration with department colleagues.
  • Prepare and deliver lesson plans that align with curriculum requirements and student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the planning of Geography-related events and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school’s vision and values in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching Geography at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with ECT (Early Career Teacher) support.
  • Experience in developing Geography curriculum or cross-curricular links.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance Geography teaching.
