The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Geography Teacher (with Travel & Tourism) to join a dynamic and supportive school environment. This role offers the opportunity to teach Geography at both KS4 and KS5, with an emphasis on IGCSE and A level qualifications. Experience in teaching Travel & Tourism is a valuable addition to the candidate’s profile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography at KS4 and KS5, including IGCSE and A level syllabi.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote student achievement and interest in Geography.
- Prepare and assess coursework, examinations, and other learning materials.
- Support students in developing their knowledge and skills in Geography and Travel & Tourism.
- Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded curriculum.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and school events.
- Monitor and report on student progress and achievement.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Geography at KS4 and KS5, including IGCSE and A level.
- Strong understanding of examination requirements and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Travel & Tourism at KS4 or above.
- Experience working in an international or bilingual educational setting.
- Familiarity with British and Spanish educational systems.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
