Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach German to students following the AQA GCSE and A level syllabus.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote a deep understanding of German language, culture, and literature.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the department and wider school.
  • Support students in developing their language skills through individual and group activities.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of language teaching and incorporate new methods and resources.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral activities where appropriate.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and assessment processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant academic qualifications in German or a related subject.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of German history, culture, and literature.
  • Experience of travel or life in Germany.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred
