Key Responsibilities:
- Teach German to students following the AQA GCSE and A level syllabus.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote a deep understanding of German language, culture, and literature.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the department and wider school.
- Support students in developing their language skills through individual and group activities.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of language teaching and incorporate new methods and resources.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral activities where appropriate.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and assessment processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant academic qualifications in German or a related subject.
- Demonstrable knowledge of German history, culture, and literature.
- Experience of travel or life in Germany.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
