The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Girls PE Teacher to join our dynamic PE department on a maternity cover basis. The role involves teaching PE at Key Stages 3 and 4 and leading after-school clubs. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced practitioner to make a meaningful impact on student development and school life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach PE to Key Stages 3 and 4 students, ensuring engaging and effective lessons.
  • Lead and manage extra-curricular sports clubs after school.
  • Support the delivery of the PE curriculum in line with school and national standards.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of PE equipment and facilities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through additional duties and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant PE experience.
  • Ability to teach PE at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic values and ethos.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading sports clubs or extra-curricular activities.
  • Experience working with young people in a school setting.
  • ECT or early career teacher with a passion for PE and student development.
  • Knowledge of Catholic education and its principles.
