The Opportunity:

As a Graduate Sports Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality sports coaching in Hockey, Netball, Rugby, and Cricket. This role offers an opportunity to make a real impact on student development and school life, while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coaching of sport in both the Senior and Prep Schools
  • Support lead coaches in providing a safe and constructive sports coaching environment
  • Coach and referee during games afternoons, after school clubs, and weekends
  • Contribute to the School’s Athletic Development Programme
  • Administer and organise school sports teams
  • Manage fitness data and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Organise pre-game kit and equipment and oversee post-game laundering of team kits
  • Support the Head of Boarding in supervising pupils in the evenings and at weekends

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Graduate status or equivalent
  • Experience or willingness to coach in Hockey, Netball, Rugby, or Cricket
  • Ability to work effectively with young people in a school setting
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in sports coaching or related fields
  • Knowledge of sports administration and event management
  • Experience working in a boarding environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
