Summary:

Graduate Tutor needed for a fixed term one year contract starting September 2026.

The Opportunity:

As a Graduate Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students across academic, residential, and extra-curricular aspects of school life. This is an excellent opportunity for someone recently graduated or leaving education, offering hands-on experience and full involvement in a dynamic and supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the boarding house, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
  • Assist teachers in classroom settings and during extra-curricular activities such as games, music, art, and drama
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the school by supporting administrative staff
  • Engage with students in a variety of educational and pastoral activities
  • Participate in the full life of the school, including residential and outdoor pursuits
  • Provide academic and personal guidance to students under the supervision of senior staff
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a well-rounded and inclusive educational experience
  • Take responsibility for the welfare and development of students in all aspects of school life

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recent graduate or someone who has recently left education
  • Willingness to commit to all areas of school life, including residential and outdoor activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take on a variety of responsibilities

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or education-related roles
  • Knowledge of child development and pastoral care
  • Experience with extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, or drama
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and diverse environment
