Groundsperson needed to maintain and improve school grounds across multiple sites.

The Opportunity:
As a Groundsperson, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the outdoor spaces across multiple school sites. Your work will ensure that the school grounds remain safe, tidy, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the appearance of school grounds across multiple sites.
- Carry out tasks such as grass cutting, line marking, and general maintenance of outdoor areas.
- Ensure all health and safety standards are met while carrying out duties.
- Adapt to a variety of tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Grounds and Estates Team to keep school sites in excellent condition.
- Keep equipment and tools in good working order.
- Ensure the school environment is clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Support the school’s commitment to creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Good English and Maths skills, preferably to GCSE Grade 3 minimum or equivalent.
- Experience working in a maintenance or grounds environment.
- Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- Ability to work outdoors and adapt to different tasks and working hours.
Preferred
- Experience with grounds maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary and permanent contract.
- 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
