The Opportunity:

Lead the development of an inclusive culture at a school dedicated to academic success and student well-being. This role is central to ensuring all students thrive and overcome learning barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that promotes academic achievement and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance bilingual and international education practices.
  • Design and deliver targeted support programmes for students with specific learning difficulties.
  • Advise on curriculum development for Learning Support lessons across Primary and Secondary contexts.
  • Lead professional development initiatives for staff in inclusive education practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support programmes and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and stakeholders to ensure student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a respected university.
  • Recognised teaching status.
  • Strong commitment to international and multilingual education.
  • Knowledge and experience of specific learning difficulties and support programmes.
  • Knowledge and experience of bilingual learning and teaching strategies.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience and understanding of curriculum development for Learning Support lessons.
  • Experience of Learning Support in both Primary and Secondary contexts.

Preferred

  • Significant experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in classroom observation and faculty appraisal.
  • A Masters Degree or further study related to Learning Support in Education contexts.
  • Experience of timetable management for Learning Support teachers.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and reflexivity.
