Head of Alliance role with emphasis on pastoral leadership and Post-16 education.

The Opportunity:
As Head of Alliance, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional pastoral leadership and driving strategies to enhance student attainment in Post-16 education. This is a key leadership position that shapes the educational experience of students and supports the school’s mission of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding pastoral leadership to ensure the well-being and academic success of students.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise pupil attainment in Post-16 education.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the trust to share best practices and support continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of excellence and inclusivity within the school community.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align pastoral care with the school’s strategic goals.
- Support students in making informed decisions about their future pathways.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pastoral programs and interventions.
- Engage with stakeholders, including parents and external partners, to build strong relationships and support student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant Level 6 qualification.
- Minimum of two years of successful experience in Post-16 provision.
- Clear strategies for raising pupil attainment in Post-16 education.
- Strong leadership and pastoral care skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a college or academy setting.
- Familiarity with The GORSE Academies Trust or similar organizations.
- Experience with student progression and career guidance.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
