The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business and Economics to lead and inspire students in a vibrant and supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and committed to delivering high-quality education in a British curriculum setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Business and Economics department
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the British curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic excellence
  • Support and mentor junior teachers within the department
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning experiences
  • Implement initiatives that promote student achievement and personal development
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
  • Participate in school-wide events and professional development opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent with QTS or Postgraduate Certificate in Education
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a British school
  • Proven experience teaching GCSE, A Level, or BTEC qualifications
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient level of English

Preferred

  • Experience in a school in the UAE
  • A-Level teaching experience
  • Demonstrated success in leading impactful educational initiatives
  • Passion for fostering student growth and academic excellence
