The Opportunity:
As the Head of Business and Operations, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery across multiple sites. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the school’s services and supporting its mission to deliver outstanding outcomes for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of business and operational delivery, including finance, HR, premises, IT, and compliance.
- Lead the development and implementation of the College Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, GDPR, and data management standards across all sites.
- Oversee financial planning, budget management, and statutory reporting processes.
- Develop and lead high-performing operations and administration teams.
- Support the growth of the school through new service development and expansion initiatives.
- Act as a key ambassador for the school, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape organisational strategy and improve service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a senior operations or business management role.
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-site operations and teams.
- Excellent knowledge of HR, compliance, and health and safety procedures.
- Experience in delivering quality improvement and self-assessment processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred
- Experience in the education sector, particularly in specialist or inclusive settings.
- Familiarity with the Ambitious Approach to education and person-centered practice.
- Experience with service development and expansion initiatives.
- Background in managing IT and property projects.
