The Opportunity:

The Head of Community Outreach will lead the development of a dynamic outreach and service-learning programme, aligning with the school’s strategic vision. This role is pivotal in embedding service and community engagement as core values across all levels of the school, and expanding the school’s outreach initiatives to include new, self-sustaining programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive outreach and service-learning programme aligned with the school’s strategic vision.
  • Expand the school’s existing outreach initiatives, including the development of a new Summer School programme.
  • Foster meaningful connections between students, staff, families, and the wider community.
  • Collaborate with staff to build student leadership and community service opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of service and social responsibility across the school community.
  • Ensure all outreach activities are inclusive, impactful, and aligned with the school’s mission and values.
  • Support the integration of service learning into the academic curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach and service-learning programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in community outreach or service learning initiatives.
  • Strong strategic planning and programme development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Experience in education, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering student leadership and community engagement.

Preferred

  • Experience in programme management or educational leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and integration of service learning into academic programmes.
  • Familiarity with British curriculum standards and international education frameworks.
  • Experience with school-wide community engagement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
