Summary:

Head of Community Outreach sought to lead impactful outreach and service-learning initiatives at a leading international school in Hong Kong.

The Opportunity:

The Head of Community Outreach will lead the development and implementation of a dynamic outreach and service-learning programme, aligning with the school’s strategic vision. This role is central to fostering community engagement and embedding service as a core value within the school’s culture and educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive outreach and service-learning programme across all school levels.
  • Expand the school’s outreach initiatives, including the introduction of a self-sustaining Summer School.
  • Collaborate with staff to design and deliver student leadership and community service opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships between students, families, and the wider Hong Kong community.
  • Promote a culture of service and social responsibility among students and staff.
  • Ensure alignment of outreach initiatives with the school’s strategic vision and values.
  • Support the development of student-led projects and community engagement activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach and service-learning programmes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in community engagement or outreach programmes.
  • Strong understanding of service-learning and its integration into educational settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining community partnerships.

Preferred

  • Experience in education, particularly within an international school setting.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and student leadership programmes.
  • Familiarity with British curriculum standards.
  • Experience with programme evaluation and impact assessment.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
