The Opportunity:

The Head of Community Outreach will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the school’s outreach and service-learning initiatives, ensuring they align with the school’s Strategic Vision. This role is central to fostering meaningful connections between students, staff, families, and the wider community, while embedding service as a core part of the school’s culture and educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful outreach and service-learning programme across the school.
  • Expand the school’s current outreach programme into a broader offering, including a self-sustaining Summer School.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop student leadership and community service programmes that empower students to take initiative and lead projects.
  • Foster meaningful connections between students, staff, families, and the wider Hong Kong community.
  • Ensure that service learning is embedded as a core part of the school’s culture and educational experience.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to align outreach initiatives with the school’s strategic vision and values.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach and service-learning programmes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of community engagement and social responsibility across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in community outreach or service-learning programmes.
  • Strong strategic planning and implementation skills.
  • Experience in developing and managing educational programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with students, staff, families, and the wider community.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in international or multicultural environments.
  • Familiarity with British curriculum and educational standards.
  • Experience in programme evaluation and impact assessment.
  • Background in student leadership development.
  • Knowledge of community engagement and social responsibility initiatives.
