The Opportunity:

As the Head of Computer Science, you will lead the delivery of a dynamic and innovative ICT and Computer Science programme aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about inspiring students and shaping the future of digital learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating ICT and Computer Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
  • Establish a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity and active learning.
  • Model professionalism through punctuality, high standards of behaviour, and consistent expectations for student work.
  • Assess, evaluate, and reflect on teaching practice to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide learning initiatives.
  • Develop high-quality learning resources and digital materials.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and community activities as required.
  • Set, mark, and provide meaningful feedback on all forms of student assessment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A proactive and independent approach to teaching and learning.
  • Experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP or A-Level Computer Science within a UK or international curriculum school.
  • A strong background in coding and a passion for inspiring students to explore digital innovation.
  • A growth mindset, problem-solving attitude, and openness to new ideas and technologies.
  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • An enthusiastic, learner-focused approach and a warm, supportive classroom presence.
