Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Computer Science department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking digital strategy aligned with the school’s vision.
  • Support and mentor staff to enhance digital learning and teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across the curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring continuous improvement in outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and excellence in Computer Science education.
  • Work closely with students to inspire and develop their digital skills and confidence.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in computer science and digital learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a Computer Science department.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and digital learning.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with 1:1 device programs and digital learning strategies.
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages and technologies.
  • Experience in leading school-wide digital transformation initiatives.
  • Background in education leadership or senior management roles.
