Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Computer Science department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.

- Oversee staff performance, provide professional development, and support colleagues in their growth.
- Monitor and improve student achievement, including assessment and exam results.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate computing across the curriculum.
- Ensure a positive and inclusive departmental culture that supports both students and staff.
- Manage resources and budgets effectively to support departmental goals.
- Stay up to date with technological advancements and incorporate them into teaching practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading a department within a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science at all levels of education.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level Computer Science or related subjects.
- Background in managing and developing staff within an educational institution.
- Familiarity with digital technologies and innovative teaching methods.
- Experience in a co-educational, selective school environment.
