Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Computing and Business departments, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students and supports progression.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing targeted support where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the multi-academy trust to enhance practice and share best approaches.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, consistency, and high expectations across the school.
- Support staff development and professional growth within the department.
- Ensure the department aligns with the school’s values and vision for student success.
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic improvement and innovation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a school department setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computing and Business.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery at Key Stage 4.
- Demonstrated ability to improve student outcomes and raise standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or collaborative school environment.
- Background in teacher training or professional development.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices and pastoral support.
