The Opportunity:

As the Head of Daycare, you will lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional early years care and learning experiences for children aged 1–4 years. This role is central to shaping a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment aligned with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Daycare team to ensure high-quality care and learning experiences for children.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children and families.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Daycare, ensuring smooth and effective running.
  • Promote and implement the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with qualified teachers and experienced practitioners to support children’s development.
  • Foster positive relationships with families and contribute to a supportive and inclusive culture.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and effective communication across the team.
  • Support the ongoing professional development of the Daycare team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 5 qualification in Early Years Leadership or working towards it.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health and safety.
  • Experience in creating inclusive and nurturing environments for children and families.
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adaptability.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a Daycare or early years setting.
  • Familiarity with record-keeping systems and early years curriculum.
  • Experience with child development and inclusion strategies.
