Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Design Technology department across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and A Level.
- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that align with the school’s educational vision.
- Oversee and contribute to the teaching of Food Technology, including Key Stage 4 delivery.
- Support and mentor staff within the department to ensure continued professional development and excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate Design Technology with broader curriculum goals.
- Ensure the department maintains high standards of student achievement and engagement.
- Manage resources and facilities effectively to support departmental needs.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the school’s Design Technology and STEM programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design Technology.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing a department.
- Experience teaching across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and A Level.
- Ability to teach Food Technology to Key Stage 4 students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership role within education.
- Background in curriculum development and innovation.
- Experience with STEM integration and project-based learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
