The Opportunity:

As the Head of Digital Learning, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of digital learning, online safety, and MIS systems across the school. This is a pivotal role in shaping the school’s digital vision and ensuring that both staff and pupils are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a digital world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the school’s digital learning strategy and implementation.
  • Provide strategic oversight of online safety initiatives and digital well-being.
  • Manage and support the use of MIS systems and data management across the school.
  • Deliver high-quality Computing teaching and support the development of digital skills in pupils.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure the integration of digital tools into teaching and learning.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies.
  • Support the professional development of staff in digital learning and technology.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align digital initiatives with the school’s vision and goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading digital learning initiatives in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of MIS systems and data management.
  • Experience in online safety and digital well-being.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computing or a related subject.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in education.
  • Experience in managing and training staff in digital learning.
  • Background in school leadership or senior management roles.
  • Ability to contribute to timetabling and cover arrangements.
