Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the English department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement an innovative and engaging English curriculum.
- Support and mentor teachers to enhance their professional development and performance.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring consistent and outstanding outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities.

- Work closely with the senior leadership team to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.

Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in leading a department.
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality English teaching and learning.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a focus on Science, Engineering, and Computing/IT.
- Background in leading a successful department with strong student outcomes.
- Familiarity with post-16 education and pathways in STEM subjects.
- Experience in working with a Multi-Academy Trust or similar structure.
