The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Design Technology and Art faculty.
- Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to raise student achievement.
- Manage and coordinate the work of the faculty to ensure consistency and excellence across all year groups.
- Support staff through professional development and mentoring opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the faculty to ensure continuous improvement.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align faculty goals with the school’s overall vision.
- Promote a culture of innovation and creativity within the faculty.
- Ensure the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school or college setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology and Art.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Experience in improving student achievement and raising standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Knowledge of assessment and tracking systems.
- Experience in leading professional development initiatives.
- Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes.
