Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the French department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging French curriculum.
- Supervise and support a team of French teachers, providing professional development and mentorship.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring excellent academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
- Represent the school at external events and maintain strong community links.
- Ensure compliance with the school’s policies and the requirements of the Edexcel exam board.
- Promote the importance of language learning and cultural awareness among students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in French language education.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Demonstrated success in delivering outstanding academic results.
- Experience in curriculum development and teacher management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a British curriculum school or international school setting.
- Familiarity with teaching French as a second language.
- Knowledge of EAL (English as an Additional Language) support strategies.
- Experience in working with students across a wide age range (3–18).
