Head of Girls' Boarding House seeking experienced leader with strong pastoral care skills.

The Opportunity:

As the Head of Girls' Boarding House, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team, ensuring the well-being and development of students aged 12 to 19. This role is central to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes academic success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the pastoral guidance and support of boarders.
  • Create a safe, well-ordered, warm, and friendly environment with student welfare at the centre.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and all stakeholders at the school.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of houseparents, ensuring high levels of care and support.
  • Maintain detailed student records with attention to confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Organise and actively contribute to boarding activities in the evenings and at weekends.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with young people in a residential setting.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • High level of social competence and empathy.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.

Preferred

  • EU/EFTA citizenship.
  • English language communication skills at minimum B2 level.
  • Additional language skills.
