The Opportunity:

As the Head of History and Geography, you will lead a high-performing team of teachers and deliver high-quality education to learners pursuing A level and IB qualifications. This is a leadership role with the potential to make a significant impact on student success and teacher development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of teachers in delivering outstanding education in History and Geography.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the curriculum.
  • Ensure the continued success and achievement of learners through effective tracking and support.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching sessions within your subject area.
  • Mentor and train teachers to maintain and enhance the quality of provision and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching History at A level.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of teachers.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to quality education and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
  • Background in Geography teaching at A level.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Strong understanding of educational trends and best practices.
