The Opportunity:

As Head of Inclusion, you will lead the implementation of support strategies for students with special educational needs, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This role is central to creating a warm, inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the assessment and identification of students’ learning needs to provide individualised support.
  • Deliver and evaluate the Learning Support Policy in collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Work with class and specialist teachers to ensure students with special educational needs and EAL needs access the curriculum effectively.
  • Model and promote the school’s vision, values, and respect for local culture.
  • Provide excellent pastoral care and support students in developing confidence and positive attitudes.
  • Supervise and support students during break and lunch duties.
  • Participate actively in co-curricular activities, House system, and school events.
  • Uphold the school’s standards of professional conduct, integrity, and punctuality.
  • Contribute to school development, CPD, and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree / PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification / Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum.
  • Proven ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Strong management and pastoral skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with EAL learners.
  • Understanding of UK independent and international school expectations.
