The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead inclusion provision in line with KHDA’s Inclusion Framework and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress effectively.
  • Coordinate early identification, assessment, and intervention for students with additional needs.
  • Embed inclusive teaching practices by coaching and training staff in best-in-class strategies.
  • Lead whole-school wellbeing initiatives that support emotional resilience, physical health, and social connection.
  • Promote academic balance and wellbeing for all learners through targeted strategies and support.
  • Engage families as partners in inclusion and wellbeing, fostering transparency and collaboration.
  • Liaise with external specialists to secure tailored support for students where needed.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded across all areas of responsibility.
  • Report regularly on inclusion and wellbeing provision to the Principal and governing body.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education (Level 6) with a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Significant leadership experience in inclusion, wellbeing, or student support in primary/middle school settings.
  • Proven track record of measurable impact in improving outcomes for students of determination.
  • Strong understanding of the KHDA Inclusion Framework and UAE regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop staff in inclusive and wellbeing practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with cultural sensitivity.

Preferred

  • Leadership experience in an international school context.
  • Familiarity with international approaches such as IB in inclusion and holistic education.
  • Experience in school start-ups or transformational change initiatives.
  • Evidence of leading successful wellbeing frameworks in educational settings.
  • Knowledge of bilingual or multilingual learning contexts and strategies.
