The Opportunity:

As the Head of Junior School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of boys aged 3–11. This is a leadership position that offers the chance to influence the direction of the school while upholding its core values of Respect, Service, and Leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Junior School team, fostering a collaborative and motivated environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies that enhance academic and pastoral care for students.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, values-based curriculum aligned with the school’s mission.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align the Junior School with the broader vision of the institution.
  • Promote a culture of respect, service, and leadership among students, staff, and parents.
  • Oversee the management of facilities and resources within the Junior School and Kindergarten.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to build strong relationships and support for the school.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the school, ensuring continuous improvement and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably within a single-sex school.
  • Strong understanding of boys’ education and the unique needs of young male students.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • Commitment to the values of Respect, Service, and Leadership.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a junior school or similar department.
  • Knowledge of IAPS standards and best practices in school leadership.
  • Experience in curriculum development and academic strategy.
  • Strong background in pastoral care and student welfare.
  • Familiarity with school governance and senior leadership structures.
