Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Expressive and Performing Arts department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that inspires creativity, innovation, and student engagement.
- Support and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring consistent and outstanding outcomes.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide priorities.
- Promote extracurricular opportunities in the arts to enhance student development.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Represent the department at school events and meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading a department or team in an educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Expressive and Performing Arts.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Background in teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in extracurricular programme development.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience with school leadership or senior management roles.
