Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing mathematics team to achieve excellence in teaching and learning
- Drive curriculum innovation and pedagogical development across Key Stages 3 to 5
- Develop and mentor TLR holders and Early Career Teachers to build the next generation of leaders
- Shape strategic direction with autonomy to implement your vision for the department
- Collaborate with the Trust Director of Mathematics and subject hub network across multiple schools
- Contribute to whole-school leadership initiatives and support the school’s improvement journey
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a mathematics teacher with a track record of classroom impact
- Experience in middle leadership or second-in-department roles, with ambition to lead a large faculty
- Commitment to student achievement and inclusive education
- Strong team-building and leadership skills
- Ability to drive curriculum innovation and pedagogical development
Preferred
- Experience in senior leadership or aspirations to progress into headship
- Familiarity with A-level Mathematics and Further Mathematics curricula
- Experience working within a multi-academy Trust or collaborative educational environment
- Leadership in a school on an improvement journey or with a clear development pathway
