The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Mathematics department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement in Mathematics.
- Support and mentor staff within the department to enhance teaching practice and professional development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in Mathematics education.
- Identify and promote extracurricular opportunities for students to enhance their mathematical skills.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership and other departments to align departmental goals with school priorities.
- Ensure the department adheres to the school’s values and commitment to equality and diversity.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department to ensure consistent standards and improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading a Mathematics department.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience in developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred
- Experience in professional development and staff coaching.
- Experience with extracurricular Mathematics activities.
- Experience in leading curriculum development.
- Experience with instructional coaching or mentoring.
