Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes
  • Develop and implement the Maths curriculum aligned with the English National Curriculum and global best practices
  • Inspire and motivate students through engaging and innovative lessons
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and student achievement
  • Support the professional development of Maths teachers within the school
  • Utilise technology to enrich and extend student learning experiences
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student confidence and success
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement in academic performance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a specialist Maths teacher at Secondary level, including iGCSE and Key Stage 5
  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and inspire students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Minimum of a B.Ed. or a B.A & PGCE with QTS
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to integrate technology into teaching

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Leadership experience within a school or department
  • Familiarity with international education standards and practices
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on STEAM and innovation
