Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student achievement and engagement in Maths.
- Support and mentor Maths teachers, providing professional development and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate Maths into a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Represent the department in meetings and external events, promoting the school’s academic vision.
- Ensure the department adheres to school policies, curricula, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the overall development of the school’s academic and pastoral strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Mathematics.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
- Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement and academic outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
