The Opportunity:
As the Head of Maths, you will lead the development and delivery of a high-quality mathematics curriculum for students aged 11-18. This role is ideal for an innovative educator looking to make a lasting impact on student learning and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the mathematics curriculum to ensure alignment with international standards and student needs.
- Supervise and mentor a team of maths teachers to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape school-wide academic strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring high achievement and engagement in maths.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the school’s mission and values.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s wider academic and co-curricular programs.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to build strong relationships and support student learning.
- Stay updated with best practices in maths education and implement innovative teaching strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject.
- At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience.
- PGCE or QTS, or a teaching license from a non-UK country.
- Strong leadership and management experience in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality maths curriculum.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior leadership role within education.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as the IB or IPC.
- Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to internationalism, sustainability, and global citizenship.
