The Opportunity:

As the Head of Maths, you will lead the development and delivery of a high-quality mathematics curriculum for students aged 11-18. This role is ideal for an innovative educator looking to make a lasting impact on student learning and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the mathematics curriculum to ensure alignment with international standards and student needs.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of maths teachers to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape school-wide academic strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring high achievement and engagement in maths.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the school’s mission and values.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s wider academic and co-curricular programs.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to build strong relationships and support student learning.
  • Stay updated with best practices in maths education and implement innovative teaching strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject.
  • At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience.
  • PGCE or QTS, or a teaching license from a non-UK country.
  • Strong leadership and management experience in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality maths curriculum.

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as the IB or IPC.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to internationalism, sustainability, and global citizenship.
