Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the music department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and deliver engaging music curriculum across all key stages.
- Inspire and motivate students through creative and innovative teaching methods.
- Organise and oversee extracurricular music activities, including rehearsals and performances.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music across the broader curriculum.
- Maintain and develop the school's extensive music facilities and resources.
- Support the professional development of music staff.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in music education.
- Strong knowledge of the music curriculum and current teaching practices.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a department.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for music and a commitment to student achievement.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a music department or similar role.
- Experience with performing arts and extracurricular music programmes.
- Familiarity with music technology and digital tools.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary on the ULT Teachers’ Pay Scale (£35,000 - £51,000) + TLR2.
