The Opportunity:
As the Head of Netball and Exercise Science Teacher, you will lead the school’s netball programme and contribute to the delivery of high-quality sport and physical education. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape student development, manage competitive fixtures, and support the overall sporting culture of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire netball programme, including fixture organisation and performance development.
- Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and liaison with external coaches, officials, and governing bodies.
- Oversee the ordering, issuing, and management of kit and equipment within the allocated budget.
- Maintain compliance with England Netball affiliation and ensure accurate SOCS reporting.
- Provide guidance and support to staff involved in netball and contribute to wider school sport and admissions activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Exercise and Sports Science.
- Demonstrated leadership experience or ambition to progress into a leadership role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Passion for netball and the role of sport in education.
- Ability to manage teams and drive student achievement.
Preferred
- Experience in subject leadership or coaching at a senior level.
- Familiarity with school sport management and fixture coordination.
- Experience with SOCS reporting and England Netball requirements.
- Commitment to pastoral and co-curricular activities.
