The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Netball to lead and develop the netball programme for students of all abilities. This is an exciting time to shape the future of netball at a school committed to fostering excellence in sport and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the netball programme, ensuring it meets the needs of students across all ability levels.
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximise the impact of the netball programme.
  • Provide high-quality coaching and mentorship to students, promoting skill development and a passion for the sport.
  • Teach hockey or football and cricket, athletics or tennis in the summer term.
  • Organise and manage fixtures, training sessions, and competitions in line with the school’s schedule.
  • Collaborate with other staff to integrate netball into the broader curriculum and school activities.
  • Support the development of junior players and ensure a strong pipeline for future talent.
  • Promote the values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in coaching netball at a high level, with a strong understanding of the game.
  • A successful track record in developing players and leading sports programmes.
  • Experience in teaching hockey, football, cricket, athletics, or tennis.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons and some additional hours as required.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Background in playing netball at a competitive level.
  • Knowledge of sports development and curriculum integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
