The Opportunity:

As the Head of Primary School, you will lead and inspire the growth of a new British-curriculum primary section in Muscat, Oman. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the primary section, ensuring alignment with the school's vision and values.
  • Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum that reflects the standards of a British education while respecting Omani culture and traditions.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the teaching and support staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community to support the school's mission and growth.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure consistency across all sections of the school.
  • Oversee the development of school policies, procedures, and pastoral care systems.
  • Represent the school at external events, meetings, and conferences to promote its mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a British-curriculum (Cambridge International) primary school setting.
  • Strong track record in educational leadership and management.
  • Deep understanding of British educational standards and international best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in establishing or growing a new school or department.
  • Familiarity with Omani culture and educational context.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
