The Opportunity:

The Head of PSHE and Careers will lead the development and delivery of a dynamic PSHE and Careers curriculum, playing a key role in shaping student character and preparing them for life beyond school. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and visionary leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for PSHE and Careers Education across all year groups.
  • Develop and evaluate an engaging PSHE curriculum that supports student wellbeing, relationships and preparation for life in modern Britain.
  • Lead and support staff in delivering PSHE, providing resources, training and guidance to maintain high standards.
  • Monitor impact through student voice, quality assurance and evaluation, using evidence to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and wider teams to ensure PSHE and Careers is central to the school’s personal development and wellbeing provision.
  • Uphold the school’s core values of respect, inclusion, aspiration and kindness in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching and leadership within PSHE and Careers Education.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory requirements and best practice in PSHE curriculum design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of staff.
  • Commitment to the school’s core values of respect, inclusion, aspiration and kindness.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering a whole-school PSHE curriculum.
  • Background in careers education and guidance.
  • Experience with international education partnerships or cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Demonstrated success in driving student engagement and personal development.
