The Opportunity:

As the Head of Quality and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the school meets all regulatory and quality standards. This is a strategic position that shapes compliance frameworks and governance systems to support the school’s mission and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage programme compliance and governance for accredited courses.
  • Coordinate corporate risk-management activities across the school.
  • Maintain Business Impact Assessments and oversee Business Continuity Plans.
  • Lead compliance audits aligned with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, including DBS checks, funding rules, and immigration regulations.
  • Oversee complaints management in accordance with policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Audit financial funding processes related to learners and tutors.
  • Review and update policies, contracts, and documentation with Legal and Technology Governance teams.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and act as the department’s Data Champion.
  • Manage contracts with third-party delivery partners and support international compliance requirements.
  • Lead governance panels and committees to drive policy implementation.
  • Support the expansion of international programmes and advise on global data-privacy standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Leadership experience in a quality or compliance role.
  • Understanding of ESFA and Ofsted regulations.
  • Experience in compliance, data management, risk management, and corporate governance.
  • Knowledge of the education and teacher-training regulatory landscape.
  • Experience in bid development and funding eligibility assessment.

Preferred

  • Strong background in policy management and quality improvement.
  • Postgraduate or professional certification in quality management, auditing, or process improvement.
  • Degree in education, law, business, or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £50,000 – £60,000 FTE.
