Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in RHSE and Food Technology across key stages 3 and 4.
- Lead and develop the RHSE department with a focus on continuous improvement and student outcomes.
- Act as a form tutor and contribute to the wider pastoral care of students.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and support the school’s culture and ethos.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student achievement.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
- Stay up to date with current developments in the subject area and pedagogy.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the curriculum in line with school priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in RHSE and Food Technology.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Willingness to take on a leadership role within the department.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Background in pastoral care or form tutoring.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching practices.
