The Opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptional leader to become the Head of School at a highly successful independent prep school. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic institution while being part of a strategic partnership with Glenalmond College, creating long-term educational pathways for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic direction of the school in partnership with Glenalmond College.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive school culture that promotes academic excellence and personal development.
  • Develop and implement policies that align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality educational programs across all age groups.
  • Ensure the school’s long-term sustainability and continued success.
  • Promote the school’s unique identity and ethos within the partnership framework.
  • Support the pastoral care and well-being of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably in a senior management role.
  • Strong track record in school governance and strategic planning.
  • Deep understanding of independent school operations and educational standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a school within a multi-academy or partnership structure.
  • Background in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with outdoor education and experiential learning.
  • Knowledge of Scottish and UK education systems.
