The Opportunity:

As Head of Secondary School, you will lead the development of the Secondary phase (Years 7–13) and play a key role in shaping the academic and pastoral direction of a growing international school. This role is ideal for an experienced and visionary leader looking to contribute to the expansion of a British-curriculum senior school in a dynamic European capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the academic, pastoral and operational development of the Secondary School (Years 7–13)
  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across all subjects
  • Support the development of a broad and balanced curriculum aligned with the British educational tradition
  • Prepare pupils for success in IGCSE and A Level examinations
  • Lead and develop a team of talented international teachers
  • Promote a strong culture of safeguarding, wellbeing and pupil achievement
  • Support the development and oversight of the school’s boarding provision for up to 30 pupils, ensuring strong pastoral care and integration with the day school
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the school as it expands its Secondary and boarding provision

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Significant experience teaching in the Secondary phase within a British or international school
  • Leadership experience (e.g. Head of Department, Assistant/Deputy Head, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of IGCSE and A Level pathways
  • Passion for academic excellence and holistic pupil development
  • Ability to inspire staff, pupils and parents within a growing school community
  • Commitment to collaboration, initiative and professional integrity

Preferred

  • Experience with boarding schools or boarding provision
