The Opportunity:
As the Head of Sixth Form and IB Coordinator, you will lead the development of the Sixth Form and IB programme, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning. This role is central to shaping a vibrant, inclusive community and preparing students for success in higher education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Sixth Form and IB programme in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Drive the ethos of the IB Diploma Programme and ensure its implementation across the school.
- Support the academic and personal development of students, fostering a culture of excellence and well-being.
- Manage and mentor a team of IB teachers, promoting reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme, enhancing student engagement and community involvement.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of a bespoke Sixth Form Centre, promoting independence and collaboration.
- Ensure alignment with the school’s mission and values, supporting the success of all learners.
- Work closely with external stakeholders and other schools within the Nord Anglia Education family.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as an IB teacher and team leader.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of driving academic success.
- Commitment to inclusion, well-being, and student success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme and Business Diploma (BTEC).
- Background in co-curricular programme development and delivery.
- Experience in a large, international school setting.
