The Opportunity:

As the Head of Sixth Form, you will lead and inspire students in Years 12 and 13, shaping their academic and personal development. You will play a key role in delivering the school’s RMS Edge and 'Futures' programmes, preparing students for the challenges of higher education and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the pastoral and academic development of students in Years 12 and 13.
  • Deliver and enhance the RMS Edge and 'Futures' programmes to support student growth and life skills.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and achievement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement.
  • Support the school’s mission and values in all aspects of leadership and teaching.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, ambition, and integrity across the Sixth Form.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, ideally at senior level.
  • Strong understanding of Sixth Form education and student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative student programmes.
  • Background in pastoral care and student welfare.
  • Experience with curriculum development and academic strategy.
  • Strong record of achieving positive student outcomes.
