A school located in 80 acres of Thai countryside, educating students aged 2 to 18 from over 40 nationalities. It is part of the Rugby School Group and offers a high-quality British education in Southeast Asia.
The Opportunity:
As the Head of Spanish, you will lead the Spanish language program across both Senior and Prep Schools, ensuring it aligns with the UK curriculum and inspires students to achieve their best. This role offers the chance to shape a dynamic Languages department and make a meaningful impact on student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of the Spanish curriculum across Senior and Prep Schools.
- Support and mentor teaching staff to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Ensure alignment of teaching practices with UK curriculum standards.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with other subject leaders to promote a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement in language skills.
- Represent the Languages department in school-wide meetings and events.
- Stay up to date with educational technology tools to enhance teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum requirement)
- At least 1 year of teaching experience in Senior & Prep Schools settings
- Strong proficiency in the Spanish language
- Sound knowledge of UK curriculum standards
- Ability to plan and implement effective lesson plans for diverse student levels
Preferred
- Experience or interest in subject leadership roles
- Experience with educational technology tools
- Background in teaching within an international school setting
