The Opportunity:

As the Head of Sport and Physical Education, you will lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality physical education and high-performance sport programs to students aged 3 to 18. This role is pivotal in promoting well-being, teamwork, leadership, and physical fitness in line with IB standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage inclusive sports programs aligned with the IB framework.
  • Lead and motivate a team of experienced professionals in delivering physical education and sports activities.
  • Design age-appropriate curricula that support student development and engagement.
  • Coordinate and organize sporting events, training sessions, and competitions.
  • Foster collaboration with teachers, students, parents, and external partners.
  • Promote student participation in a wide range of sports disciplines.
  • Encourage healthy lifestyles and inclusion through sport.
  • Ensure alignment with the school’s mission and international best practices in sports education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Postgraduate degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of sports management and principles of physical education.
  • Ability to design age-appropriate sports curricula compatible with the IB framework.
  • Excellent organisational skills for planning events, training sessions and competitions.
  • Effective communication skills; native English is required.
  • Experience playing and coaching sports such as rugby or hockey at a high level.
  • Experience teaching Physical Education and managing professionals in a sporting context.

Preferred

  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Experience with international educational standards and best practices in sports education.
