As Head of Year 7, you will lead and inspire a year group, focusing on student achievement, wellbeing, and the development of a positive school culture. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students while working in a forward-thinking and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a culture of achievement across the year group
  • Monitor and track student progress to ensure maximum attainment
  • Lead and manage a tutor team effectively
  • Promote a positive and respectful school culture
  • Act as a deputy designated safeguarding lead within the safeguarding team
  • Implement effective interventions to support student attendance and behaviour
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching and leadership within a school setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a year group or similar role
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and policies
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience with pastoral systems and student progress tracking
