Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a culture of achievement across the year group
- Monitor and track student progress to ensure maximum attainment
- Lead and manage a tutor team effectively
- Promote a positive and respectful school culture
- Act as a deputy designated safeguarding lead within the safeguarding team
- Implement effective interventions to support student attendance and behaviour
- Maintain strong communication with parents and carers
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching and leadership within a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Experience in pastoral care and student support
Preferred
- Experience in leading a year group or similar role
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and policies
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience with pastoral systems and student progress tracking
