The Opportunity:
As the Head of Year 7, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the pastoral care and academic progress of a year group of 240 students. This is a unique opportunity to shape the culture and values of a school in its early stages of growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pastoral provision for a year group of 240 pupils.
- Support and develop the teaching and support staff team to deliver high-quality education.
- Promote and maintain a strong ethos based on shared values and excellent behaviour.
- Work closely with the Head of Department to drive the growth and development of the school.
- Ensure students are supported to achieve their full potential and progress to their desired future destinations.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and community partners.
- Deliver high-quality classroom teaching alongside leadership responsibilities.
- Monitor and support student progress and well-being across the year group.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in a school setting.
- Proven leadership experience within a school environment.
- Strong understanding of pastoral care and student well-being.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
- Ability to manage and develop a team of staff effectively.
Preferred
- Experience in a new or expanding school setting.
- Experience with community engagement and parent partnerships.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
- Experience with school leadership or management training.
